Friday Five: My Favorite Workout Accessories

Happy Friday! Each Friday I’ll be sharing some of my favorite things in a series called “Friday Five”. This series won’t always be fitness related and will cover everything from my favorite workout accessories to my go-to baby gifts for expecting mommies. To kick things off this week, my Friday Five are all things I use in my daily workouts. What are your favorite workout accessories? Leave me a comment here or on Facebook and let me know!

1. BalanceFrom GoYoga All-Purpose Yoga Mat – I workout at home most days during the week and love having a yoga mat for my floor exercises. Whether you are planking, doing crunches or using a resistance band to work those glutes, a yoga mat can come in super handy. This one is available in seven different colors, is extra thick and includes a carrying strap!

2. Stainless Steel Water Bottle – I picked up my first stainless steel water bottle a couple of months ago and I love how it keeps my water cool when I’m on the go with the kids or heading to a fitness class. This one comes in so many cute colors and ships free if you have Amazon Prime.


3. Resistance Band Set – I use my resistance bands during a lot of my at home workouts. They are great to add extra resistance when working out with dumbbells, or to use in place of dumbbells.
4. SPIbelt Large Pocket No-Bounce Running Belt – When I’m running I don’t like to carry my phone in one of those arm bands. They never fit right, and are always slipping down or rubbing on my side. If you are like me and don’t like the arm bands, you’ll love this running belt. It is big enough to hold your iPhone and a house key, and is adjustable so it doesn’t bounce or slide around.
5BalanceFrom Dumbbell Set with Stand – Dumbbells are a staple when working out at home and I found this awesome set that includes 3lb, 5lb and 8lb weights and a stand. For beginners, this set would be perfect! If you are a little more advanced in your fitness journey, you may need to find a set that has some heavier weights. I typically use 8lb and 12lb dumbbells in my routines.
