I’ve always loved having fall family photos taken because the leaves are changing, the temps begin cooling off and it’s a perfect time to get photos for holiday cards! As a mom of two boys I know choosing outfits can be stressful, so I’ve put together a few looks to get you started.

One tip when you are planning family photo outfits is to start with Mom and work from there. I usually choose a print or bright color for myself, and then build the rest of the family around my outfit. In this first look I really love all the different colors and prints. You could always throw a denim jacket on Mom if it’s a little bit chilly outside on picture day.

This next look is more of a neutral look but I really love the color scheme. If you wanted, you could add some print to the boys shirts (maybe a stripe or plaid) and add a headband to the little girls outfit for some extra fun.

If you aren’t a dress kind of gal, this look with Spanx faux leather leggings would be super cute and also very versatile if you have littles where you’ll be bending and squatting a lot. The tie around the waist on this tunic sweater would also be very flattering in photos.

I think this look is my favorite out of all of them! The green in this family photo look is gorgeous and if you are planning on using your photos for holiday cards, this look would be perfect! I also love that the boys can have some fun in this photo with the bright plaid shirt.

If you love color, this look is super fun! This is the same shirt as the green one above just in hot pink. The bright colors are fun.

If you’re a boy mom like myself, here is a look for you! A plaid shirt similar to this navy plaid one could also be added for one of the boys to give some added flair to the photo.

I also had a request to add a family look with teen or young adult girls and of course I had fun pulling all the dresses and boots.
