Here’s your guide to a fun, girls getaway in Miami, FL including where we stayed, what we ate, where we had cocktails and everything in between.
A few weeks ago, a group of long time blogging friends and I met up for a girls getaway in sunny Miami, FL for some relaxation and fun in the sun. I’ve known some of these ladies for 4 years and we chat nearly every single day on text message or Facebook, but this was our first time meeting up in person! It was so fun to talk about our blogging experiences, families and so much more that we’ve decided to make this an annual trip.

Where we stayed
To help plan our trip, we worked with Lisa from Wander and Whimsey and she was so great helping us find the best hotel options. We ended up choosing the Fontainebleau Miami Beach and it was the perfect spot for our 2022 Blogger Meet Up. This was my second time staying at Fontainebleau and the second time was just as good as the first. It’s a great spot in South Beach. The pool is hopping, the beach is gorgeous, the rooms are clean and spacious and the lobby bar and nightclub LIV are awesome hot spots.
During the day we rented a cabana at the pool and it was so nice to have a place for all of us to sit & chat. Our favorite cocktails were mimosas in the morning and spicy margaritas in the afternoon……yum! For lunch, if you ask nicely, the cabana attendants will let you order sushi from the sushi restaurant inside the hotel and it’s fabulous! Highly recommend this if you love sushi! We also tried the burgers and they were delicious.
Where we ate
One of our favorite parts of the trip was going out to dinner in the evenings! I’m a huge foodie & love trying out new restaurants and Miami has some of the best I’ve tried. The first night we went to Juvia and not only were the views stunning & great for photos, but the drinks and food were absolutely amazing. This was my favorite meal of the trip!

The second night for dinner we went to Amara at Paraiso and the views at this place on the water were the absolute best. We had the most amazing seafood at this restaurant including snow crabs since they were in season. So delicious!

The final night we went to Baoli Miami which was fabulous! We all loved our food which included sushi, truffle risotto, truffle fries, crispy rice, spicy hamachi tacos, sea bass and I think one of the girls even got a steak. The cocktails were creative and perfect to celebrate our last night in Miami.

Where we drank
After dinner one night we found the BEST cocktail bar that I will definitely go back to next time I’m in Miami! Tipsy Flamingo was an absolute blast and not only were the cocktails amazing (I loved the Miccosukee Slammer!) the 90s and 2000s music was so much fun. We stayed for a couple of hours dancing and having the best time and almost went back the next night for ladies night! 😉 The last night we went to Swizzle Rum Bar & Drinkery for a nightcap before turning in for the night. This cocktail bar was fun because you have to find a little bell to ring before they’ll let you into the bar area.

It was so fun to finally meet all of these ladies in person and I can’t wait until our next girls getaway. Make sure you check them all out: Midwest Money Saving Mommas, Just Posted, Fashionably Late Mom, Take It From Nicole and HipMomShops. They are all amazing ladies!
P.S. If you have a beach trip planned for this summer I have a bunch of swimsuit and cover up suggestions on the blog.
