Let’s hear it for another round of school lunch ideas!! If you’re like me, I fall into routines when packing school lunches. So, now that the kiddos have been back in school for a week or so, I thought it would be the perfect time to put together another round of school lunch ideas.
- Sliced turkey
- Whole wheat bread
- Mini Hawaiian rolls
- Hard boiled eggs
- Green peppers
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Bananas
- Apples
- Cucumbers
- Cheddar cheese
- Tortillas
- Peanut butter
- Jelly
- Pasta salad (noodles, cheddar cheese cubes, cherry tomatoes, green pepper, pepperoni & light Italian dressing)
- Yogurt cups
- Sugar free applesauce cups
- Mandarin orange cups
Instead of a standard PB&J sandwich, this time I used a little sandwich cutter to make a PB&J in the shape of a cupcake. I bought a set of sandwich cutters online a couple of years ago, and let my boys pick out what shape they want on sandwich day to make sandwiches more fun. I also made peanut butter & banana sushi, and instead of a plain old turkey & cheese sandwich, I used mini Hawaiian rolls and cucumbers instead of bread.
I also suggest grabbing these Fit & Fresh Cool Coolers to keep everything cold! I picked up a 2-pack at Target for $3.99. I love that they are super flat so they don’t take up too much room in their lunch boxes.
